*Alfred's POV*

It's been seven years since the Revolution began. Now it's September of 1781. General Greene's objective is to take control of the British occupied village of Ninety-Six. (Name) is one of the women traveling with us. She also, unbeknownst to the rest of the army, fights with the men. She's the bravest woman I know and I'm lucky enough to be able to court her. She knows I'm a country. Specifically

"I thought the painkiller was supposed to dull the pain!" said Alfred. "Owch! Watch it woman!"

"Deal with it Alfred! It'll be over in a bit anyways." you said as you pulled bits of metal out of Alfred's body. This went on for a while. There was A LOT of shrapnel stuck in the man's body.

After removing all of the shrapnel and listening to the complaints Alfred made, you cleaned the wounds with a bit of rum and bandaged them up. Then you ran back to the kitchen to grab some ice fo

You closed your eyes and drifted off to sleep. "Goodnight (Name)."

You fell into a fitful sleep.


You were surrounded by the men you had failed to save. All of the Class Four Triages were there along with other soldiers in Class Two you failed to save. Alfons walked up to you and grabbed your arm. He was covered in blood. "Du hast mich angelogen! Sie sagte, ich würde in Ordnung sein! Du hast mir nicht gesagt, dass ich konnte nicht gespeichert werden! (You lied to me! You said i'd be fine! You didn't tell me that I couldn't be saved!)"

Others walked up to me. "Sie lassen uns sterben! Sie haben uns nicht retten! (You let us die! You didn't save us!)"

They began to close in on you. "Sie haben uns nicht retten! Sie haben uns nicht retten! You didn't save us! You didn't save us!)"

You torn away from Alfons and ran as fast as you could away from the soldiers. "(Name)!"

You turned at the sound of your name. It was Alfred. He was crying. "You didn't save him! You didn't save Arthur!"

Alfred gestured to the body of Arthur which was covered in blood and was laid out on the ground. "No! I could have SWORN he was fine! He's not dead! You're just kidding around with me!"

Terrified at the sight of Arthur's dead, blood-covered body, you ran away. "(Name)!" called another voice.

'Arthur,' you thought. 'He's alive! I did save him!' You ran towards the sound of Arthur's voice. "Arthur!" you called.

"(Name)!" called Arthur. Sobs choked his voice.

You saw that Arthur was kneeling. His back was to you and he was holding Alfred's body. "He's dead, (Name)! He's dead! Why couldn't you have saved him? Why?" he said as he turned his head to look at you.

Tears were rolling down both of your faces."NO! HE CAN'T BE DEAD!"

You ran away from Arthur and Alfred. Soon, Alfred, Arthur, Alfons, and the other soldiers you couldn't save were gathering around you, stopping you from going anywhere. They all asked one question. "Why?"

"Warum? (Why?)"

The men collected around you. "WHY?"

You woke up screaming.

I fixed the ending of Chapter 3 to my liking.

ALSO: I may or may not have an update tomorrow. I'm going to the 8th grade Formal so I may not have time to write/post Chapter 5.

P.S: This dream is based off of one I had a few months ago...*Shudders*

*Edit* Working on Chapter Five but I kinda have writer's block...I need more dreams for ideas...I'm going to sleep...

O.O I had one where it was a fairy tale book but the princess was good but when you flipped to the next page of the book, she came out and tried to kill me.....
